Saturday was opening day for a new show at the New York Botanical Garden after last year’s was downsized due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visitors from across the tri-state area came to the Bronx for the kaleidoscope-themed Orchid Show at the Botanical Garden's Conservatory.
The show was created by florist Jeff Leathem, who has made floral arrangements for celebrities like the Kardashians and Oprah Winfrey.
“We have orchids throughout the conservatory. Right inside the dome, there's a kaleidoscopic structure that Jeff has designed and there's pillars of orchids of different colors. And our last two galleries, our seasonal galleries, there's plumes of orchids hanging from the ceiling,” says Nicholas Leshi, a spokesperson for the Botanical Garden.
The Orchid Show exhibition will run until May 1. To get tickets, visit NYBG.org
