A new report suggests several cities in the tri-state area are among the least desirable places to retire.
Financial website WalletHub ranked the best and worst cities for retirement across the country.
New York City placed 142nd out of 182 cities included in the study.
New Haven and Yonkers ranked even lower, both finishing below 150th place.
Bridgeport ranked 175th, placing it near the bottom of the list.
In New Jersey, Newark was ranked 180 out of 182 while Jersey City came in at 168
The rankings were based on factors including cost of living, taxes, health care and recreational opportunities.
According to the report, Orlando, Florida ranked as the best city for retirement.
