A new ride in town is evoking memories of the subway cars of yesteryear.
The New York Transit Museum hosted an event, which is held a few times a year, where they allow about 300 people to ride a functioning R1-9 train that was in operation from 1930-1970.
The ride began in Downtown Brooklyn, went around Manhattan and ended in Coney Island. Other nostalgia rides happening throughout the summer will take passengers to different city destinations.
