Voters have an extra nine days to cast their vote for their new leaders in the general election thanks to early voting.
Voters from Soundview and Parkchester came out on Sunday and say they had a seamless experience. They are encouraging fellow voters to get out and vote early.
Teacher Tiara Torres says her concern during this election is leaders who will focus on the school system and treat teachers with respect.
“Mental health is also extremely important to my students and it has not been easy coming back from the pandemic,” says Torres. “I’m looking for proper education reform that supports the students and the staff.”
Early voting started on Saturday and will run through Oct. 31. The 106 sites will reopen for day three Monday morning.
