Independence Day may be over, but the holiday sales are still in effect.
Many New Yorkers were out on Monday taking advantage of the long weekend and those holiday deals.
Stores like Old Navy, Charlotte Russe, Bath & Body Works and Kay Jewelers all had major sales going on for the Fourth of July holiday.
One Bay Plaza Mall shopper jokingly told News 12 that holiday deals like this can turn one into a shopaholic.
“The whole mall. So we’re in trouble. I’m just praying we don’t break the bank,” says shopper Jemima.
Other shoppers say that they were glad to be able to shop in-person again. Many malls across the country were closed for the last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I came to get a suit…Being online, you don’t know if you can get the right size. So when you can come in, you can try on and see if it fits. What more could you ask for?” says shopper Cyril.
Those who weren’t able to make it out to the mall were still able to find plenty of Fourth of July sales at online sites like Amazon, Wayfair and eBay.
