A new and unique space is coming to the Brooklyn Navy Yard -- a commercial high-rise called Dock 72.
For many Brooklyn residents, an all-in-one workspace will soon be a reality with the opening of Dock 72.

"One of the first obviously commercial high-rise is here in decades, and so it's just a really good opportunity and experience,” says Kelley Lovshin, of Boston Properties.

The building, developed by Rudin Development and Boston Properties is 16 floors and nearly 700,000-square feet of space for New Yorkers to get their work done.

"We have unobstructed views all the way around midtown Manhattan, downtown, and then, you know, Brooklyn has just grown so much in the past 10 years,” says Lovshin.

The building's amenities include a sundeck and outdoor basketball court, state-of-the-art conference and event facilities, a health and wellness center and multiple organic food and beverage options.

Dock 72 is just one of many projects popping up at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, an area that's constantly transforming.

"It's wonderful to see everything the Brooklyn Navy Yard has done. They are building Wegmans over there, we have shuttle ferries, Steiner Studios building out everything that they have had in their mission and they really have accomplished,” says Lovshin.
WeWork is going to be the anchor tenant at Dock 72, and the developers tell News 12 they look forward to signing more leases before the space opens in September.
