Each year some 50,000 runners from around the world converge for the New York City Marathon, and this year, one of News 12's own reporters is going the distance. 

In the spring of 2014, Jessica Cunnington decided to start doing something for herself: running. 

She says she started small, at just a half mile, but that turned into two, then three, then 10, and in November, those miles will become 26.2. 

Cunnington says it was hard at first, but as the miles piled up, so did her strength and confidence. Now she cannot wait to tackle her biggest challenge yet and is inviting everyone in Brooklyn to join her on her journey.
