Some residents in Dumbo got a free preview of some independent films Tuesday night.
The Independent Filmmaker Project, a Dumbo-based nonprofit, screened 20 short films in Brooklyn Bridge Park for free before they are set to hit the festival circuit this fall.
The event was part of IFP Film Week, set up to help emerging filmmakers create and find distributors for their movies.
Many of the films previewed Tuesday typically find homes at major film festivals like Sundance and South by Southwest.
