North Rockland alumnus tapped as new football coach

well a week from tonight. The high school football season will kick off in the Hudson Valley teams quest for section titles will begin. North Rockland is hoping to contend for a Section one championship. The Red Raiders are under new leadership as James. Hickey takes over for the late tom lynch. Hickey's heart is close to the program. He's a 2004 North Rockland graduate and the team's former quarterback. It's an honor to follow in the footsteps of coach Catarella, coach lynch, coach core Disco. It's something that I do not take lightly. Coach lynch, he was a great guy and it is really sad to see him go as a set off season, but we got back out here. Coach shaky. Really put us to work and a lot of change going on. Uh, and it's really good. It's, it's really looking good. North Rockland opens play a week from saturday against Monroe Woodberry though, dedicating this season to tom lynch
