The eviction and foreclosure crisis is affecting millions of people of all income levels across the country and in Connecticut 

Andrew Pritchard says he's about to be evicted from his $3.5 million home on the Norwalk shore.

"I'm an ex-partner of Cantor Fitzgerald and lived through 9/11, and this is at the level of that experience of losing my entire firm and everybody in it,” he says.

Pritchard says a mortgage company he took out a loan with in 2003 defrauded him and is trying to seize his property illegally.

In court documents obtained by News 12 Connecticut, the lifelong Norwalk resident alleges the court system has failed to protect him.

"On Tuesday, May 31, they are coming to evict my family from this house and they have no claim and no right,” he says. “My three boys have grown up here. We've been here 27 years. This isn't just another house for us, this is our home."

Pitchard says it's his right under the Connecticut constitution to have a trial by jury, but he's being denied that right.

He says he has no idea where his family will go if they're forced out of their home.
