Social media sensations Dixie and Charli D'Amelio have come a long way from growing up in Norwalk. Now living in Los Angeles, one of the girls is taking her singing career on the road.
Dixie D'Amelio has been singing and dancing her way across TikTok just like her younger sister.
Now the 20-year-old is getting ready to take her talents on tour.
"It just was kind of a quarantine thing, I just got in the studio because I just wanted to try something new and I just really ended up falling in love with it," D'Amelio told News 12 Connecticut's Mark Sudol.
She will join boy band Big Time Rush for this summer's nationwide tour that makes its second stop at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport on Friday June 24.
"It's going to be weird. I was kind of scared seeing that being the second show but I think it's going to be a great milestone in my life," she said.
D'Amelio said she met Big Time Rush at the iHeart Radio Jingle Ball Tour.
Tickets for the Bridgeport show are now on sale.
Her sister Charli D'Amelio is still the all-time TikTok leader with 136 million followers. Dixie D'Amelio is number nine on the list.
