A Norwood woman says rats are taking over her Moshulu Parkway apartment - and it is a nightmare.
Zoraida Melendez says she originally called News 12 for help back in May after a rat latched onto her skin.
News 12 followed up with her again on Friday. She said the building management, Maxx Properties, made small repairs but not enough to keep rats out.
"I spoke to management,” Melendez said. “I told them I know where the problem is coming from, is a dishwasher, but they don't want to pull around, do anything."
Melendez said she is fed up with the temporary repairs and it's time for permanent fixes after the rats got to her clothes.
"I just literally emptied out my whole closet and dumped all my clothes in the garbage," Melendez said.
Melendez said she’s now taking legal action against the building for medical conditions.
News 12 reached out to Maxx Properties again for comment, but has not yet heard back.
