National Weather Service Albany confirmed Saturday morning that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Ulster County on Wednesday, July 13.

National Weather Service Albany confirmed Saturday morning that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Ulster County on Wednesday, July 13.
It says damage that occurred about 2 miles west of Kingston was caused by both a macroburst and the tornado.
Ulster County declared a state of emergency  after severe thunderstorms tore through the area Wednesday night.
