Parents and children made their way to Coney Island Saturday to "sea" what makes the ocean important as part of World Ocean Day.
The Wildlife Conservation Society's New York Aquarium will be hosting hands-on activities throughout the weekend, which include arts and crafts and the chance to view many oceanic species.
Kids will also have the opportunity to snap a picture with Molly and Gil from the television show "Bubble Guppies." Event organizers say it's a weekend of fun, but also a good learning experience for children.
Throughout June, kids can carry around their own aquarium passport, receiving stamps from every station they visit, with the ultimate goal of becoming a "certified protector of the ocean."
The aquatic adventures will continue on Sunday.
