The sixth annual NY FEST also known as the Film and Entertainment Soccer Tournament was held in Brooklyn Bridge Park Sunday.
Co-founder Dylan Leiner says he started the event because of his love of soccer and film, and he wanted to connect the media center of the world with the soccer world.
Organizers say the sport is growing in the United States and it unifies people of all backgrounds just like the creative industry.
Proceeds from the event will go to America Scores New York, an after-school soccer and literacy program.
