With the windy weather, the New York City Department of Buildings issued an advisory, urging any property owners, contractors and crane operators to exercise caution when working due to the high winds.

The department is recommending tying down loose material and covering electrical equipment.

It is also important to know that should wind gusts reach up to 30 miles per hour or over, crane operations must be suspended across the city.
