FDNY halting 1st doses of coronavirus vaccine due to short supply

The New York City Fire Department will stop administering first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine due to a short supply.
The fire department tells News 12 that they had enough on hand to honor first dose appointments through Sunday.
They say they began rolling out second dose appointments on Wednesday, but that has now stopped.
As of Friday, the department says they had vaccinated around 7,500 members. They expect to receive more vaccines, but are not sure of the arrival date and quantity.
