The city Health Department has announced four more schools will be closed for failing to comply to the city's crackdown amid the measles outbreak.
The affected schools are in Williamsburg, located at 68-84 Harrison Ave., 241 Keap St., 590 Bedford Ave. and 720 Wythe Ave. None of those schools provided vaccinations records to the city.
Another school at 75 Ross St., which was the first to be shut down last week, reopened Thursday.
The city also announced action against three children who were exposed to measles, but were still unvaccinated as of April 12. Each of their parents face a $1,000 fine.
Also on Thursday, the state supreme court dismissed a lawsuit that sought to block the vaccination order brought on be several parents of unvaccinated children. The court ruled the measles epidemic was sufficient to warrant the public health emergency.
