Two companies hosted the Holiday Cup soccer tournament in Brooklyn Sunday to raise money for the community.
The NYCFC and MIDEA kickstarted the 5v5 soccer tournament to raise money for the Futbol Clubs Foundation that funds free soccer programming, youth mentorship and MIDEA product donations for the city's homeless youth.
Players paid an entry fee for the tournament and were able to participate in the silent auction or raffles. Win or lose, participants were just happy to be playing the game they love and raise money for the community.
In addition to leadership programming, the money raised will also help buy warmer gear for New Yorkers in homeless shelters this winter.
