NYPD officer killed in Queens shooting

An NYPD officer has been shot and killed in the line of duty in Far Rockaway near the Long Island border, officials say.
The NYPD held a news conference at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where the officer was pronounced dead
They say the officer was conducting a traffic stop with his partner when he was shot by the driver just before 6 p.m.
The victim has been identified the officer who lost his life as NYPD Officer Jonathan E. Diller. Mayor Adams says he was on the force for three years.
