Unrest continues Wednesday following the city’s decision to house asylum seekers inside school gyms across the city.
After rallying in front of the school as classes started Tuesday morning, parents are planning to do it again today. The frustration echoed across the city as parents gathered in front of several schools to make their voices heard.
According to elected officials, school gyms are the best option compared to other places like the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
Along with the rally today, parents have also started a petition against housing asylum seekers inside the school gyms. They’re also planning to take their kids out of school at the end of the week for a walkout.
