NYC schools to receive free COVID-19 tests following rise in hospitalizations
Schools across New York City will be able to get free antigen tests for COVID-19 starting in December.
The Department of Health and Human Services will also be teaching districts how to request them. Officials say schools can keep the tests on-site or send them home with kids.
The news comes as hospitalizations from COVID-19 have been on the rise, and officials expect cases to spike during the winter months.
