NYC public schools will be in-person on Tuesday, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and NYC Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels said at City Hall early Monday.

Over 400,000 parents, students, and staff logged in to their online learning platforms Monday morning, according to the mayor.

The chancellor and mayor visited a classroom remotely this morning. The mayor says that he took this opportunity to reiterate that students could pelt him with snowballs in turn for the remote learning day.

During the question and answer session after the press conference, the mayor says that no children have thrown any snowballs at him yet, but that the day is still early.
