Council members are spreading the word about the NYC Summer Meals Program to keep hundreds of kids across the city fed.
The program offers free and nutritious meals to kids under the age of 18 at more than 400 sites across the city. From Monday to Friday, anyone under 18 years old can get breakfast and lunch without having to show any identification or documentation.
On Monday, Brooklyn Council member Farah Louis and the organization Hunger Free America held an outreach event at P.S. 244 in East Flatbush to make sure that every parent knows where their children can get a free meal.
