The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) delivered an early Christmas present to a resident who has been complaining about a leaking bathroom for the past five years.
Nicole Ryan, who lives is a NYCHA house on Pacific Street in Ocean Hill, says her bathroom has been leaking for five years and she has been concerned not only with the water, but with falling debris and rats.
NYCHA says that while the plumbing repairs have been completed, it will be a few days until the ceiling is patched up because the area must dry first.
Taylor says she is glad she has a second bathroom since damage prevented her from using the first one.
While Taylor's apartment is repaired, other tenants say they are need of repairs and want NYCHA to make repairs quicker.
