The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has removed two of its board members after the release of a negative report about the agency.
According to the report published by the city-hired Boston Consulting Group, NYCHA?s management is inefficient and the agency has a repair backlog of hundreds of thousands of work orders.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the city will continue to stand behind NYCHA.
Housing officials say some of the recommendations in the report are already under way. The agency is replacing those two appointed board members with volunteers.
