NYPD: 1 hurt, 3 arrested following shooting in East Bronx

According to authorities, an 18-year-old was shot in the chest on the corner of Astor and Wallace avenues right outside the Pelham Parkway Houses around 5 p.m.

Police say three people are under arrest and one person is recovering in the hospital after a Sunday night shooting in the East Bronx.
According to authorities, an 18-year-old was shot in the chest on the corner of Astor and Wallace avenues right outside the Pelham Parkway Houses around 5 p.m.
Police say the teen is in stable condition at Jacobi Hospital.
The crime scene was taken down, but earlier, investigators taped off a portion of the street and shell casings could be seen on the ground.
Police officers could be seen going in and out of businesses as they investigated the shooting.
They said a gun was also recovered.
Police said it's still not clear what prompted the gunfire.
