NYPD: 1 woman dead, man critical condition in East New York shooting

One person has died and another is in critical condition after a shooting took place in East New York, according to the FDNY.
The incident took place between Williams Avenue and Hegeman Street at 17 Louisiana Avenue just before 7 p.m., according to officials.
According to the NYPD, one female and one male were shot in the incident. The female was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 26-year-old man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Police sources say that the male and female victim were in a relationship.
Police also say that a 52-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection to the shooting, which took place inside of the building.
