A
15-year-old from the Bronx was fatally shot late Monday night in East Harlem,
police say.
The
incident occurred on the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 123rd Street.
Police found Amir James with a gunshot wound to his midsection. He was
pronounced dead at the scene.
A
second victim, a 30-year-old man, was shot in his knee and is in stable
condition. No arrests have been made.
The
shooting was one of nine separate incidents of gun violence in 24 hours across
New York City. Police say there were 15 shooting victims, including
James.
