Police say two people were found dead Monday morning inside an apartment in Midwood.
Detectives say officers responded to a 911 call of a person shot around 10 a.m.
They say they arrived at 1921 Ave. I to find 35-year-old Teddy Knight and 29-year-old Tanezia Blockwood unconscious, both with gunshot wounds in their heads. EMS pronounced them both dead on the scene.
Police say no arrests had been made as of Monday night.
A neighbor told News 12 that they were a couple who lived with their two young children and the man’s mother. She said they were a loving family, and that the mother is distraught.
"It was a family, Teddy and his mom and his girlfriend and the two children. They were a wonderful family, like any other family. So it's just really shocking," the neighbor told News 12.
It's unclear if the children were in the apartment at the time of the shooting, but ACS told News 12 their main priority is securing the safety of the children with the help of the NYPD.
