Two people were shot on Stanley Avenue in East New York overnight, according to police.

Officers say there were two victims as a result of the shooting that happened around 2:30 a.m. Police say a 28-year-old man was shot near his groin and a 30-year-old man was shot in his left leg.

Both are in stable condition and are being treated for their injuries at Brookdale hospital.

Police are still searching for the shooter. It's unclear what lead up to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
