NYPD: 24-year-old woman killed in Brownsville school bus crash

Police say it happened in the vicinity of Blake and Van Sinderen avenues shortly after 1:15 p.m.

A 24-year-old woman was killed Thursday afternoon when the car she was in crashed into a school bus in Brownsville.

Police say it happened in the vicinity of Blake and Van Sinderen avenues shortly after 1:15 p.m.

They say a 32-year-old man was driving a Mercedes-Benz when it collided with the school bus that had no passengers.

The 24-year-old woman was in the Mercedes-Benz and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 24-year-old school bus driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
