NYPD: 3 officers injured while making arrests in Coney Island

Two officers were punched in the face while a third officer was hit in the head with an unknown object.

Three officers were hurt while responding to a 911 call about a fight in progress Friday night in Coney Island, according to police.

Police say officers were called to Surf and Stillwell avenues at around 11:48 p.m.

Officers attempted to apprehend two individuals. Two officers were punched in the face while a third officer was hit in the head with an unknown object.

All three officers were hospitalized in stable condition, according to police.

Police say two 17-year-olds were arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and assault.
