The NYPD says here have been three separate incidents of delivery workers being robbed in the past three months in the area.
On Monday, police say just after 5 p.m., a FedEx worker in Spuyten Duyvil had a package ripped out of their hands.
Police shared images of the attackers.
On Tuesday, a FedEx worker was body slammed, then robbed while delivering a package in Kingsbridge, the NYPD says.
Back in August, News 12 obtained exclusive footage of another robbery involving a delivery worker in Pelham Gardens.
News 12 reached out to FedEx, and it responded with the following statement:
"We take package thefts very seriously and work closely with law enforcement to investigate and deter such activities. We have rigorous safety and security programs in place and regularly remind our team members of the importance of both personal and package safety. This includes remaining vigilant when delivering a package and immediately reporting any unusual activity.
FedEx works closely with shippers of high-value goods on enhanced security measures. A shipper can request Hold at Location or Direct Signature Required services, or redirect a package to FedEx Office or Walgreens, so a package is not left at a business or residence. These tools have proven very helpful in combating porch piracy. Additionally, our solutions such as FedEx Delivery Manager, Estimated Time Delivery Window, and the FedEx mobile app offer recipients a convenient experience with more control over the timing and location of their deliveries.
FexEx says anyone who is a victim of package theft should contact police immediately.
Police are asking anyone with information on these robberies to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
