The NYPD says a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed in Red Hook.
Police say he was shot around 6:40 a.m. Sunday. The victim has been identified as Yusef Dinkens.
Dinkens was shot just minutes away from his home on Dwight Street, according to police. 
Dinkens was shot multiple times in the torso and the arms. He died at the hospital from either cardiac or respiratory arrest, police say.
According to authorities, a 20-year-old man is in custody.
