NYPD: 6-year-old Bronx girl found with bruises on wrists, torso dies

Police say a 6-year-old Bronx girl is dead following a 911 response call early Friday morning.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious 6-year-old girl inside of an apartment at 730 E. 165 St. at around 4 a.m.
The girl, identified as Jalayah Eason of the Bronx, was found unresponsive with bruising on her wrists and torso inside of the apartment.
She was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln where she was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death, but has told News 12 that the exam is expected to happen on Saturday.
There are no arrests at this time.
