2ds agoA 19-year-old woman who is eight months pregnant was shot while sitting in a parked car in Washington Heights, police say.
The incident took place in front of 560 West 165th St. just before 9 p.m. Monday. Those in the neighborhood told News 12 they heard at least four gunshots fired.
Police say the three other passengers had gotten into some sort of argument with another group as they were getting food. The situation escalated to violence as the passengers got back in the car and gunshots were fired at the vehicle as the driver sped off.
The woman was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
The NYPD is searching for at least five people who they believe got away last night.
