A 90-year-old man has died after being hit by someone riding a moped in Sheepshead Bay - and the driver still hasn’t been caught.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday near the corner of Avenue U and East 14th Street. The man, now identified as Zhuo Xie, was walking in the crosswalk when the moped came through the intersection. Surveillance video shows the rider entering the crosswalk while looking the other way just before crashing into Xie.

The impact knocked both of them to the ground. Xie tried to brace himself but fell hard. The moped rider got up, got back on the bike and drove off—leaving the 90-year-old on the street.

Xie, who lived nearby on East 15th Street, was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn with serious head injuries. He died at the hospital.

Neighbors told News 12 they were heartbroken and frustrated the rider didn’t stop to help.

“Imagine 90 years old. You going to get breakfast and some little punk, hits someone not even to stop, and the guy that on the floor like dying on the floor,” one neighbor said.

Police are still reviewing video and looking for the person responsible.
