NYPD officers arrested a sex offender from Florida on the L train platform last weekend.

Police say it happened Sunday morning at the First Avenue subway station.

One of the officers recognized 33-year-old Nicholas Gibson as a wanted fugitive from Florida.

Police say Gibson resisted arrest when they approached him.

Gibson has been charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration as a fugitive from another state.
