The effects of the terror attacks that killed at least 49 people in New Zealand inspired law enforcement to beef up security in New York City.

Officers from the 79th Precinct stood guard outside Masjid At-Taqwa mosque in Bedford-Stuyvesant, providing an extra sense of security so that worshippers could pray in peace.

Authorities say a white nationalist opened fire at two mosques Friday, a clear act of hate meant to terrorize people of the Muslim faith.

Worshippers at the Masjid say they will not let the attacks faze them.

“We still continue to make our prayers, morning, evening, daytime. We don't bother [anybody] and we do the best we can,” said one worshipper.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo directed several landmarks, including the World Trade Center spire and Kosciuszko Bridge to be lit up in blue and red in solidarity with the people of New Zealand and the Muslim community.
