Authorities say the incident occurred near Hegeman Avenue and Thomas S. Boyland Street.
The victim has been hospitalized in stable condition. Police say no arrests have been made yet.
This shooting comes a week after a 55-year-old man was shot in the leg at the same intersection.
He was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK, according to authorities.
