407ds agoPolice say a 33-year-old man was found dead inside a walk-in freezer in Brooklyn.
The man was found unconscious and unresponsive at 5700 Avenue D around 8:46 a.m. by employees, according to the NYPD. The incident took place at Beigels Bakery, and the medical examiner was seen at the scene of the crime earlier on Thursday.
NYPD officials told News 12 that the man was working the overnight shift when he walked inside the freezer around 3 a.m. to clean it, but he never made it out. Sources tell News 12 that the employee had only been working at the bakery for a few months.
Police say no criminality is suspected.
The medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death.
