NYPD drone and body-worn camera footage helped officers arrest five teens after they were seen riding on top of a southbound B train in Brooklyn on July 20.
During the arrest, police recovered six stolen MTA keys from one of the teens.
According to police, NYPD drones spotted six people riding on top of the train as it traveled from Newkirk Plaza to Kings Highway at 4:13 p.m.
After drone team personnel alerted officers on the ground, police tracked and arrested the teens. Officers recovered six stolen MTA keys from a 14-year-old suspect.
A 12-year-old boy was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration and criminal trespass.
A 13-year-old boy was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration and criminal trespass.
A 14-year-old boy was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal trespass.
Two 15-year-old boys were each charged with reckless endangerment and criminal trespass.
According to the NYPD, this incident comes only two days before a 16-year-old was critically injured in a Queens subway surfing incident.
