NYPD: Elderly woman fatally struck by vehicle in Bay Ridge

Law enforcement officials say that a black sedan was spotted fleeing the scene, and no arrests have been made.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a 72-year-old woman dead. 
According to the NYPD, the woman was struck outside of 150 Marine Ave. The FDNY says that the incident took place just before 7 p.m., and the woman was found dead at the scene. 
One witness tells News 12 he saw the whole thing unfold while parked across the street, spotting an elderly woman walking out of her driveway and across the street before being struck.
Neighbors who spoke with news 12 say that there are few to no speed cameras and that cars speeding through the area is a common occurrence.
