The NYPD and the Coast Guard came together today for the blessing of the FDNY’s marine fleet, the Marine 3.

The rapid response crafts are used to save lives. The FDNY, NYPD and the Coast Guard stood together as 11 boats were blessed for the summer months.

Due to the warmer weather, it’s a bit more difficult for the force to protect the water, making these boats that much more important during the season.
