A series of violent incidents broke out across Brooklyn on Tuesday, including a teen who was stabbed in Sunset Park and a 40-year-old man who was fatally shot in Canarsie.
The fatal shooting took place at around 3 p.m. on East 83rd St. The NYPD says they arrived at the scene and found the victim with a gunshot to his torso. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police closed off the surrounding area as they searched for evidence, and witnesses say it was chaos after shots rang out.
"People were running, and I came outside and saw so many police cars and ambulances," said one witness.
In Sunset Park, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times in the back.
An employee at New Clear Clean Laundromat says this happened outside of his store, and both he and one local resident say they're scared for their safety in this area.
The 16-year-old victim is in stable condition, and police believe that there are multiple suspects in this stabbing.
Police have not made any arrests in either of these violent incidents yet
