Charges eased for man seen in controversial Peekskill police encounter

A 25-year-old man was shot in the head this morning in Crown Heights, police say.

The shooting took place around 5 a.m. near Schenectady Avenue and St Johns Place.

The victim was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending proper family notification.
