Police say a man is in the hospital following a shooting by a suspect who was disguised as a NYCHA worker in East New York.
News 12 was told the shooting took place indoors just before 3 a.m. on Dumont and Williams avenues.
Authorities say they found a 24-year-old man unconcious at the scene with gunshot wounds in the stomach, chest and arm. He was taken to the hospital, where police say he is seriously injured.
Police say the suspect appeared to be a man disguised as a NYCHA employee with the jumpsuit uniform.
Although the NYPD has reported a decrease in shootings across the city, statistics for the 75th Precinct show a slight increase, with nine incidents occurring in the area compared to seven this time last year.
