NYPD detectives say a man was shot multiple times in Flatbush Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to Bedford Avenue and Clarendon Road after 4 p.m. When the officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old man who was shot multiple times.

First responders rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was listed in critical condition as of Saturday night.

Police say the person that could be responsible was last seen driving a black sedan.

Neighborhood residents who did not feel comfortable speaking on camera told News 12 they heard the gunshots. They said their neighborhood is a residential area and crimes like this should not happen.

A description of the person responsible was not immediately available but police said the investigation was ongoing as of Saturday night.
