Police say the suspect who stabbed a man in the chest in Midwood remains on the loose.

Police say the stabbing happened at the corner of New York Avenue and Midwood Street around 7 p.m. Thursday. It's unclear what led to the stabbing, but the attacker took off on foot.

The victim is in stable condition.
